Be Curious

Some of computing's biggest moments started with simple questions. How does this work? What happens if I try this? Why is that happening? A hobby project, a game, a hunch: curiosity has shaped our craft more than any roadmap.

Today, our tools answer almost before we ask. We prompt, we scan, we hit accept. It works, so we move on. But we lose something along the way: the itch that made us developers. That first echo "Hello World". The thrill of building something from nothing. The need to know how it all works - how it *really* works!

Through a handful of true stories, this talk shows how small acts of curiosity changed software, security and science. We'll look at what those moments have in common, and why they matter more now than ever.

This is not an anti-AI talk. Curious developers get more from AI, not less. You'll leave with simple habits to stay curious, and a reminder of why you fell in love with our craft.
