Scalable Architecture Workshops: Unlocking Collaboration for Large Groups

How can you bring dozens of people together to design software architecture collaboratively—and achieve in just one or two days what typically takes months?

While modern modeling techniques have improved design, making architecture a truly collaborative effort remains a challenge. Architects often face difficulties engaging diverse voices while avoiding decision bottlenecks. What if there were simple, adaptable tools to enable large-scale collaboration and rapid progress?

This session combines a selected set of easy-to-learn collaboration techniques (mainly 1-2-4-All, Open Space, Shift & Share, and UX Fishbowl) with software design practices to create effective, scalable architecture workshops.

Join us to:

- Practice 1-2-4-All for effective team-scale collaborative design
- Practice integrating known collaborative design workshops (ex: Event Storming or C4) in a skeleton of Open Space, Shift & Share, and UX Fishbowl; scaling collaborative architecture to a group of teams.
- Experiment with ways to break silos
- Discover how to make decisions faster; In a few days instead of weeks or months!
- Ensure everyone understands the decisions
- Enable everyone to contribute equally
- Tame collective intelligence to tackle complex decisions!

Join the workshop to practice actionable collaboration techniques to run architecture sessions that engage large groups, break down barriers, and deliver tangible outcomes.

This is a two and a half hours long workshop targeting developers and architects.
