APIs are still the main way applications move data and collect information in order to serve their special business needs. AI has begun to change the landscape with things like "vibe coding" and code assistants. Even more change comes in with the use of AI agents extending the ability of code and APIs. In this talk we will take a look at all these things, define what they mean, and see how developers and contributors to Open Source projects are changing the way they think about solving problems.
