Scanning user uploaded files securely with AWS Lambda MicroVMs
When you need to scan user-uploaded files for malware, it must be done securely without affecting other parts of the system. AWS Lambda MicroVM is a great fit for this use case because it provide every invocation with a isolated disposable VM instead of a reused execution environment. Also, it comes with Serverless simplicity and performance.
In this talk, I discuss how to build a workflow that scans user-uploaded files for malware using the open-source antivirus engine ClamAV inside AWS Lambda MicroVMs.
