Scientific computing has traditionally lived on university lab's machines and local clusters but that’s changing. In this talk, we’ll explore how AWS can power modern, cloud-based workflows for data analysis, modeling, and research. Using open-source tools as examples, I’ll share how we moved academic-style computing into the cloud: running analysis jobs in containers, automating pipelines, and ensuring reproducibility. This talk is about bridging the world of scientific research with the flexibility and power of AWS.
