Waiting for Haven: Queer Temporalities and Asian American Relationality

Bringing together documentary aesthetics of idleness, literary mediations of planetary times, and multimedial performances of attunement across spaces, times, ecologies, and social differences, this panel joins queer temporal perspectives––anachronisms, loss, waywardness, the “not yet”––with critiques of speculation and accumulation, settler time and temporal dispossession, and chrononormativity to analyze the critical possibilities that queer temporalities afford to the analysis of Asian American relationality.
