What's old is new again: Using online help content to train LLMs
Your organization has amassed a ton of product content over the years. You've served it up to your clients in a variety of ways: instructional text, system messages, voice and chatbot scripts, online help, support articles, and more. With the advent of GenAI, your existing content can take on a whole new life.
In this presentation, I will talk about how existing content repositories can be consumed by AIs with minimal refactoring. This will be based on first-hand experience training an LLM to respond to questions from actual users. I will show real world examples of what worked, point out pitfalls we faced, and talk about some interesting things we found along our journey.
Attendees will learn how to take content created for other purposes and use it to create a GenAI knowledge base. They will learn how to train the LLM with the content, optimize the content for AI, and how to identify new content needs specifically for an AI. I will deliver this session for the first time at the UXPA conference in June 2024. The duration can be 30 - 60 minutes.
