Cache me if you can: Valkey on Kubernetes
This hands-on workshop explores practical caching with Valkey deployed on self-managed Kubernetes on cloud compute, covering three key use cases: database query optimization, session management, and Prompt and Semantic Caching for GenAI applications. Participants deploy Valkey Cluster using StatefulSets and Kubernetes-native tooling, tackling real production challenges including cache invalidation, stampede prevention, memory management, and data consistency.
Attendees experience common pitfalls firsthand and learn proven strategies for cache warming, TTL optimization, pod-aware connection management, and Kubernetes-native observability.
Participants work in pre-provisioned cloud accounts available for 72 hours, leaving with working code examples, Kubernetes manifests, architectural patterns, and a clear understanding of caching trade-offs they can immediately apply to their own clusters.
