Avalonia UI as an alternative for App and Web Development?
There is a long list of frontend frameworks available to .NET development teams today. One particularly interesting option is Avalonia UI. Originally created as a cross-platform alternative to WPF, Avalonia now supports not only the traditional desktop platforms - Windows, macOS, and Linux - but also mobile platforms such as Android and iOS, web browsers via WebAssembly, and Embedded Linux devices.
Given its broad platform support and its rendering approach, which is largely independent of native UI frameworks, Avalonia could be described as the Flutter of the .NET ecosystem.
In this session, I will focus on the platforms that were added in Avalonia 11 (released in 2023): Android, iOS, and web browsers. How mature is Avalonia on these platforms today? Where is it already being used successfully, and what challenges and limitations should developers be aware of?
