With remote working the opportunities of mentoring designers during a design project have reduced as this was mostly done face to face.

The process can be used as follows:
1. Set goals with a clear success criteria
2. Define methods and templates that the designers can use in tools like Figma
3. Design lead identifies skill gaps during the design process
4. Assigns designer to a mentor specialising in the area to refine the skill
5. Mentor conducts 1-on-1 sessions and sets up design exercises to monitor progress

All of this can be done remotely using Figma as a collaboration tool.
