Rethinking Graduate Housing: Roadmap to Affordable, Thriving Community

Graduate students are central to institutional research ambitions and the path toward R1 recognition, yet they remain among the most financially constrained and housing-underserved populations on campus. This session draws on two completed projects, South Hill Apartments at the University of Idaho and Meritus Commons at Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine, showing how disciplined financial decisions and intentional design, pursued together, produce lasting value for students and institutions.
