With the midterms coming up this year, there are more opportunities than ever to investigate local, state and federal campaign finances.

In this session, we'll practice navigating FEC filings, finding key figures and turning them into compelling stories. We'll also review common pitfalls in FEC data, such as how to avoid double-counting pass-through PAC contributions and how to classify in-kind contributions (and what those are!).
