AKS or Azure Container Apps? Making the Right Choice for Your Workloads
For a long time, AKS was the only real option for running containers at scale on Azure. Now Azure Container Apps offers a simpler, more managed alternative, but with trade-offs. This session deals with how to choose between them, examining when the additional abstraction helps and when it gets in the way, based on production deployments of both platforms.
We'll walk through real scenarios including microservices with complex networking requirements, event-driven workloads leveraging KEDA, stateful applications, and scale-to-zero use cases. We'll show where each platform fits and where it doesn't.
You'll leave with a clear framework for evaluating your workloads, understanding the trade-offs and knowing when each option makes sense.
