Modern Aspire in Practice: Building, Deploying, and Evolving a Real App
After getting fed up with various event management systems, I did what every sensible developer eventually regrets: I decided to build my own. The result is Admitto, the app that now powers community events like Azure Fest and Bitbash — and, more importantly, a great playground for exploring how Aspire can simplify the full development experience for distributed applications.
In this session, we’ll look at how Aspire supports the journey from local development to integration testing and deployment to Azure. You’ll see how Aspire helps connect services, databases, queues, external dependencies, and front-end applications into one coherent application model — including polyglot solutions that combine .NET backends with technologies like Next.js.
We’ll also explore how Aspire can support AI-assisted development. How can agents understand and work with your distributed application setup? And how can we apply guardrails so they stay focused, make useful changes, and don’t wander outside the boundaries of your architecture?
Expect a practical, code-heavy session about building distributed applications that are easier to develop, easier to test, easier to deploy, and easier to evolve.
