Building the Future of Quality: The Quality Tree Framework in Practice

Organizations today release faster than ever — yet many still struggle with unstable deployments, tool sprawl, and unclear ownership of quality.

The root cause is rarely lack of effort.
It is lack of structure.

This session introduces the Quality Tree Framework, a practical and field-tested maturity model designed to systematically build and scale software quality in modern DevOps environments.

Inspired by technology trees used in complex systems, the framework structures quality into:

8 core domains (“branches”)

9 maturity levels

90 concrete, implementable practices (“leaves”)

Each practice includes clear implementation steps, dependencies, measurable outcomes, and real-world application patterns.

Rather than debating tools or methodologies, the Quality Tree provides a shared mental model for engineering leadership and delivery teams to align on priorities and build quality incrementally — without chaos or overengineering.

The framework is described in detail in the recently published book “The Quality Tree Framework” (Springer Vieweg, 2026), and this session distills the most practical insights into an actionable roadmap for conference participants.

Attendees will leave with:

A structured way to assess their current quality maturity

A prioritization model for quality investments

A scalable path from reactive testing to engineered reliability

This talk is grounded in real implementations across regulated industries, banking environments, and high-automation DevOps ecosystems.
