Modern apps are far more than latest tools and very efficient code, modern apps are legacy of the real world problems and often people who can understand those problems are very few, role of architects can be so broad or with many focuses depending of the organization needs, but we can agree about some core concerns or at least benefits from guiding and giving into the software delivery qualities that to day can achieve key impact for the organization.
