I will present a real-world enterprise-grade adoption of the open-source Backstage as IDP in a top energy EU enterprise. Elia Group has followed the product approach for its DevEx and platform engineering initiative. The platform is serving over 500 engineers working in the public cloud, private cloud, and on-prem restricted environments. I will deep dive into the platform architecture, integrations, custom software templates, doc-as-code approach, and policy-as-code approach.
