Crisis and Stress Management

In times of crisis, we respond by calling 911 or starting CPR if needed. But how do we address the unique crises our first responders face? The role is innately stressful and is impacted by staffing, the environment, and crises, small and large. It’s time to take your temp, starting with your thoughts, energy, mood, and perspective!

Is your performance impaired because you are overworked and out of balance? Are you unable to do it all and manage the workload? You are only as good as you are balanced! If you do not take the time for yourself—yes, even with the array of responsibilities pressuring you now—you will not be the best you can be. That personal best will enable you to achieve your goals and keep your health.

In this interactive session, our speaker will take you through five essential steps that will get you to balance, reduce your stress, and allow you to survive and thrive! This presentation addresses the critical aspects of crisis and stress management explicitly tailored for first responders. It explores individuals' unique challenges in these roles and offers practical strategies to cope with high-stress situations effectively. Enhancing resilience and promoting self-care allows first responders to optimize their performance and well-being, ultimately
improving emergency outcomes.
