Building Resilient Teams

Your Team Isn’t Resistant to Change. Your System Might Be.

We love to talk about adaptable teams. Teams that embrace change, challenge the status quo, and continuously evolve.

But what happens when the team is the thing getting in the way?

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with teams that were stuck in rigid ways of working, struggling to respond to change despite the best intentions. In this session, I’ll share two real-world case studies that reveal what was really holding them back — and what it took to shift the way they worked.

You’ll see challenges that are likely to feel uncomfortably familiar: behaviours that seem impossible to change, processes that have become sacred, and teams that are technically empowered but somehow still stuck.

The challenges may not be unique. The solutions rarely are.

We’ll explore what worked, what didn’t, and what we learned along the way. Most importantly, you’ll leave with ideas you can take back to your own team — and perhaps a few uncomfortable questions about what you’re currently accepting as “just the way things are.”

Because becoming adaptable isn’t about telling people to embrace change.

It’s about changing the conditions that make change so damn difficult.
