The Software Factory: AI Agents Across the SDLC
Developers are increasingly working with agents that plan features, write code, review pull requests, and automate fixes. But as agents take on more of the software development lifecycle, writing code is no longer the hard part. The challenge is orchestrating multiple agents, giving them the right context, and ensuring they operate safely within the right boundaries. The next evolution of AI-assisted development isn’t a better coding assistant, but the software factory: an agentic SDLC where specialized agents work together across the development lifecycle.
We’ll explore practical patterns for agent orchestration, context engineering, permissions and identity, human review gates, and governance, and show how these pieces come together to create AI-powered development workflows that scale.
