If you plan to move your on premises Automation to Azure the good news is: Congratulations! You have defined technically descriptions of you processes to relay on.

If you think pasting this Scripts into Azure Automation Runbooks is enough to do that, this would be the same as loading all local systems to Azure and thinking “Wow, cool! We’re using efficient cloud technologies now….”

Azure Automation is a Cloud Service where you can connect Hybrid Workers to automate “on premises” systems. You may execute your Automation on premises now perhaps also automating things in Clouds already.
For example: When you monitor an event with Azure Automation and you can use Watcher Tasks. Watcher Tasks costs 60 times less than normal Runbooks.
