Accessing high-impact green investment is often dilutive and costly for both project developers and investors. Equity-based funding is a good option for early-stage projects but is too dilutive for deploying commercial-scale climate projects. However, issuing green bonds is often a prohibitively expensive process.

This session explores how blockchain-based financial tools can unlock the urgent funding needed to fight climate change. After an introduction about on-chain forward buying contracts with smart contract enabled revenue pledges and digital green bonds, the session will dive into the Web3 apps that project developers can manage for a non-dilutive fundraise and on-chain treasuries. Similarly for investors, the session will present the tools to evaluate sustainable fixed income investments.
