Every person has a right to an identity that they own and control, one that securely stores elements of their digital identity and preserves privacy.

This session explains how open standards like verifiable credentials and distributed identifiers work together to provide a decentralized trust system that can give back the own and control of a digital identity.

We will walk through and demo common scenarios using Microsoft's implementation of decentralized identities (Microsoft Entra Verified ID) where we see how distributed identities will add value and trust. These scenarios vary from remote user onboarding to issuing transcripts.
