Messaging and streaming often spark debate: they are fundamentally different but have shown behavioral convergence in recent years. Strong advocates on either side can obscure trade-offs, making decisions harder. This talk explores messaging and streaming conceptually and practically, covering patterns, real-world use cases, and example architectures to clarify differences and offer guidance on when to choose each approach.
