Re-thinking Trust

This talk explores trust in human relationships and its impact on the workplace. It challenges the traditional view of trust as binary and instead presents it as a spectrum influenced by behaviors and experiences. It introduces a framework of Positive and Negative trust, highlighting how Positive trust fosters equity, inclusivity, diversity, empowerment, cooperation, healthy conflict, psychological safety, and innovation, while Negative trust inhibits these qualities. The talk emphasizes the role of consistent behavior in shaping workplace trust and provides insights into how we can transition from Negative to Positive trust.
