We'll follow our data evolution from data lake, to data products, and then to AI-powered answers. We will explore what a data product is, why it's foundational and how we exploited well-curated data products using MCP to add an AI-assisted chat layer for ad-hoc queries alongside our existing dashboards for curated reporting.

As part of our journey we open-sourced tools, grew a village of contributors across the business, and learned that how you package a tool matters as much as what it does. Alongside the tech we'll share what we learned about measuring and driving adoption across engineers, analysts, and the wider business.
