Measuring Software Delivery and Operational Performance to improve commercial outcomes
In this talk, I show why and how we measure Software Delivery and Operational Performance across ~100 development teams in Visma. We use these metrics to motivate and track improvements in engineering performance and commercial results.
Visma is a group of 200+ software companies which operate quite independently. With access to this unique dataset about financial results and engineering performance, we can try to understand which engineering practices matter for commercial results. In this talk, I'll share how we measure engineering performance as well as some of the exciting results from our research.
