Murder Trial, Motorcycling and Motion Sickness: Lessons in Agency from a Control Freak

Through three very different personal experiences: serving on a murder jury, riding a motorcycle and living with motion sickness. This talk explores the difference between control, influence, risk mitigation and acceptance.

Each story examines a different kind of agency: how we influence outcomes when control is shared, how we prepare for risks we cannot eliminate, and how we respond when something simply cannot be changed.

It is a story-led conversation about leadership, decision-making and responsibility - recognising what you can control, where you can influence, what you can prepare for, and what you ultimately have to accept when the outcome is not entirely yours to determine.
