To create holistic programs, we must consider the role families play on new student transitions. For decades, the focus has been on so-called “helicopter parents” and finding ways to promote effective support. Now, as international students continue to enrich our campuses, we must consider how to best serve their families, our “Boeing 747 parents”. All are invited but we encourage professionals who coordinate family and/or international student programs to attend this dynamic session!
