Hidden Disabilites - Courage, Awareness, and Support

In today's world, being unwell is often stigmatized, especially in the workplace. We're expected to keep going and not show any signs of weakness. This pressure is particularly intense for men, who rarely discuss their health issues, let alone chronic illnesses. The fear of being seen as incapable, pitied rather than respected, or even losing our jobs is deeply ingrained.
In February of 2024, I was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Faced with two choices—either hide my illness until it was impossible to conceal or confront it openly—I chose the latter. My type of cancer is incurable and is now a part of my life.
Through this talk, I aim to encourage openness, raise awareness, and advocate for an inclusive approach for everyone dealing with serious illnesses, whether personally or within their circles. My journey with this diagnosis is deeply personal, but it's also filled with valuable insights that I am eager to share with you.
