Among many developers Clean Coding is often considered an unnecessary, annoying task, which is added on top of the already exhausting process of programming. "The feature works fine, why do I need to clean it up?“ is a common reaction when asking the developers to optimize their code. The consequence is unreadable code, that is hard to maintain, software that is full of bugs and angry co-workers that need to work overtime, because everything takes longer than it should.

In my presentation I will talk about the importance of Clean Code in Web-Development and provide some practical examples of modern PHP techniques to refactor your PHP-Code to significantly enhance its readability, understandability and maintainability.
