On the edge of the grid: Developing offline-capable mobile apps for remote field operations

How do you create a robust work order management platform when your workforce operates beyond network reach? How do you synchronize complex inspection data, engineering forms, and compliance documentation when the last signal bar disappears?

This is the daily reality for utilities across the Nordics, where thousands of critical assets need monitoring, inspection, and maintenance in areas where connectivity is a luxury, not a guarantee.

Evidi figured out how to solve this challenging use case with Workflex, a modern cloud-based process platform built on Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse. They used Resco's Mobile App Development Toolkit to create mobile apps for field workers that perform even when disconnected from everything.

Together we will cover:

• Offline-first architecture: How to design mobile apps that thrive in disconnected environments using Resco's unique sync engine and state-of-the-art offline capabilities.
• Real implementation details: The technical decisions behind building a digital platform for the grid and utilities industry with resource allocation, engineering processes, and automated alerts.
• Field feedback: Direct feedback from technicians who use these tools daily in challenging Nordic conditions.

We hope you join our session! Resco and Evidi are ready to answer all of your questions.
