Many people think that the only way to advance a technical career is the give up the technical part and become a manager. In this session, Tom will explore what it means to move from a technical career into management, why you may or may not want to make that change, and what other opportunities there are for technical people that may not be happy in management positions. This session is for people considering a move from an individual contributor position, to a people management position.
