Opening the RHEL Buildsystem

Each Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) release used to be built in secret. Dates, packages and procedures were all hidden behind Non-Discosure Agreements (NDAs). For RHEL 9, the Emerging RHEL team was given the instructions to "Make it Public".
This is the story of how we took a completely closed development process and made it more open than anyone imagined.
