Session

Cultivating Self Leadership in the Workplace - The Other Education

This session takes a story-telling approach to understanding the pitfalls of not providing opportunities for human skill development to all workers today.

In this day and age, we are faced with the highest levels of neurodiversity. The costs related to stress leaves, employee burnout and quiet quitting are exorbident and not easily quantifiable. Depending on what we do and our diverse business models, we are also looking at amazing opportunities or significant threats as AI continues its disruptive journey through our world. The unprecendeted shifts in political and economic power and value systems continue to make our workplaces much more complex places to govern and inspire.

We want resilience, self awareness, out-of-the-box thinkers. We want positive influencers and agile problem solvers. We want empathetic and inclusive communicators. We want more and more engagement. But most organizations are grappling with having no strategy to get there.

This session addresses why and how we can transform our people's mindsets and behaviours by teaching and embedding energy management practices in their career development paths. It talks about the two-way value paradigm and how that paves a different path to trust and psychologically safe workplaces. This is a different, sustainable kind of empowerment that breeds self leadership at all levels of the organization.
