Fabric Apps - From Report to Action

Everybody likes your Power BI report. Then they export it to Excel, count stock on paper or approve discounts by phone, because that's where the work happens. What if they could act on the numbers right where they see them, with a Fabric App? Same workspace, same sign-in, no copy of the data.

Meet a wholesaler whose report showed 40 cases of oat milk available while the shelf had been empty for days. Follow one working day. The buyer orders from the screen that shows the stock running out. The warehouse lead counts the shelf on a phone, and the number is in before anyone walks away. Purchasing confirms all orders per supplier in one go. The sales manager approves a discount with the customer's margin in view, and flags a customer in the wrong region instead of emailing the data team. The controller types the forecast for the coming months and explains a gap right next to the number.

Between the demos you see what a Fabric App actually is: how it reads the semantic model, writes to its own database and logs every change, and how you can prompt your way to an app of your own.

The report was never the problem. It just stopped where the work continued.
