AI agents are increasingly being used to orchestrate complex workflows, but what does this look like in practice on real systems? This talk explores how agents can manage end-to-end HPC workflows, from resource discovery and job scheduling to simulation execution and result synthesis. Through a concrete scientific example, we examine both the opportunities and limitations of using agents in high-performance computing environments.
