Fabric User Data Functions Interacting with Non-Fabric Items
If you like Fabric User Data Functions, but your entire setup is not within Fabric, can you still use them?
In this session, I will answer this question. The short answer is yes. In fact, if you want to save cash, it is probably even recommended.
I will show you exactly how to set up a User Data Function with native triggers from Power BI, utilizing Translytical task flows. I will walk you through the entire process: from writing the UDF code that integrates with your non-Fabric items, to syncing it with your Power BI report, and finally configuring the necessary permissions and governance.
You will leave with a blueprint for integrating your current solutions with Fabric without having to rebuild your stack or bleed your budget.
