Actors provide a robust model for developing long-running applications that maintain their own state. However, misunderstandings about their proper use often lead to frustration and abandonment of the actor approach. In this presentation, I will demonstrate an end-to-end use case featuring an application built with the Dapr actor framework. This demonstration will highlight the strengths of actors and how they can be leveraged to build resilient and scalable solutions. Additionally, I will delve into best practices for using actors, emphasizing how to avoid common pitfalls and maximize their potential.
