Strategic Choices in Power BI: 'The Art of Storytelling'

Effectively presenting data in reports and dashboards requires more than just technical skills. In practice, data is still too often presented in a suboptimal way. A common example is the excessive use of tables in Power BI. This is frequently a missed opportunity: users are forced to read data, search for relationships, and interpret the information themselves, while the data should actually be telling the story.

This session focuses on the importance of storytelling. You will learn how to present data in a way that makes the story immediately clear, allowing users to gain insights with minimal effort. The session also addresses the do’s and don’ts of using tables and, when they are truly necessary, how to format and apply them effectively.

This session is intended for anyone who wants to move beyond the standard use of Power BI and aims to create reports and dashboards that are not only visually appealing, but—more importantly—truly effective.

How do you let data tell the story? This session shows how storytelling in Power BI leads to more effective dashboards with less noise and clearer insights.
