Contour is a popular Envoy control plane in Cloud Native. Contour provide strong abilities in Kubernetes ecosystem, and from project roadmap, technical design and community rigor degree, Contour is good enough as a core for Gateway product. But from a open source project to a product, there are different thoughts inside, include UX, usage scenarios, enterprise support and so on. From this session we can tell you all points we did during make an open source project to a product, make trade-offs while leveraging strengths and do extention by lots of CNCF ecosystem technologies.
