There is a lack of diversity within the STEM fields. Currently within the Tech industry women only account for around 26% of the IT workforce. It is essential we increase diversity in STEM so that it is representative of the society we live in.
Reflecting on my own personal journey I will provide strategies for organisations to help them support women/girls in pursuing careers within STEM. Some of these strategies include: mentorship’s, career insight weeks, partnerships with university societies and a whole lot more. This work is essential as according to a report by PwC Only 27% of female students we surveyed say they would consider a career in technology, compared to 61% of males.
