Can we Decentralized Content Moderation? And why?

Topic: Social media and content moderation

For too long,Social Media - the virtual city square - has been infested by fake news and hate speech, having a severe impact on the quality and rationality of the public discourse.

The necessary remedy is Content moderation, which is an ungrateful task, for both its drain on social media platforms' resources, as for its impact on freedom of speech.

I propose a distributed content moderation platform, allowing anyone to impact the quality of discourse by flagging fake news, hate speech.

The distributed approach incentivizes impartiality using a balanced reward system both for grading participants for their credibility and for distributing financial payouts.

This is a call-to-action for developers and policy makers, to develop the technical and organizational infrastructures for this endeavor.
