GraphQL is undoubtedly one of the popular kids on the Development playground right now. Last year, Netflix announced that it was dropping REST completely in favour of GraphQL. GraphQL is a new way to build APIs, one that's easier, faster, better, and more flexible than the old RESTful API system, or at least that's the promise.
