I earned my B.Sc. in Games Engineering from the TUM. Following this, I pursued my master’s degree in the elite graduate "Software Engineering" program. My interest in teaching and sharing knowledge resulted in working as a teaching assistant during both my bachelor and master studies for several different courses and culminated in being responsible for the practical section of TUM's Introduction to Computer Science course with over 1000 participants.

Upon completing my studies, I joined the fintech scale-up QPLIX as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, I focus on continuously improving the performance of our algorithms and leading the internal Developers Academy, which aims to upskill our software developers and engineers.

In 2024 I did my first talk at a conference, talking about the challenges and opportunities working as an openly trans woman in a very male dominated sector.

Brutal openness or how to hack the workplace culture of your employer?

We all want to work at a company that has an inclusive and respectful workplace culture, but most of us aren’t in a leadership position – so are we doomed to accept the culture that exists? Or can we as ordinary employees use our story and voice to create positive change and an atmosphere that empowers us?
There are a lot of talks and discussions for people in leadership positions, on how to cultivate a better workplace culture. While that is an important angle, most of us are just simple engineers and, we too want to contribute to an environment where everyone can be themselves and thrive.
In my presentation, I want to show how being brutally open about mental health struggles, personal challenges and the societal pressures that each of us faces to different degrees, can positively influence the atmosphere of our workplace.
