Sabrina Herrera is a lifelong journalist who’s worked in television production, newspapers, digital, social, community engagement, and public media. She has experience leading and building teams, most recently creating Connecticut Public’s first social media team. As Latino Initiative Editor at Connecticut Public, she leads ¡Somos Connecticut!, a strategic effort to expand Latine content, audience, and staff, through listening sessions, bilingual reporting, and engagement opportunities. She also serves on the National Association for Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) New England Chapter Board. Sabrina performs improv comedy, which led her to saying “yes, and” to hosting the narrative podcast, Generation Barney, available wherever you get your podcasts. Sabrina aims to look for the fun in things, and believes you can accomplish anything when working collaboratively as a team.
