Safiya Norman is an attorney, writer, and the founder of AccessAIbility.org, a free directory of more than 850 AI tools built for disabled and neurodivergent people. She holds a BA in psychology and political science and is a graduate of Hofstra Law, and she has spent nearly two decades litigating civil cases, including multiple defense verdicts at trial. Her work now lives where that training meets: the psychology of how people actually process the world, and the law that decides who gets access to it.
She came to this work as a mother. Raising a neurodivergent son taught her that the right tool at the right moment is often the difference between a closed door and an open one, and that most families never learn those tools exist. So she built one place to find them. Through AccessAIbility.org and the AccessAIbility newsletter, both free, she helps disabled and neurodivergent people, their families, and the employers and schools around them put AI to work in service of independence.
