Hi!
My name is Sajjaad Khader, and I am a big tech software engineer and a part time content creator. My journey into tech began when I attended Georgia Tech as a computer science major. While in college, I landed an internship my freshman year at Amazon which introduced me to big tech. I started posting videos on youtube shortly after that to help fellow students be successful in college, specifically computer science and software engineering.
As my youtube channel began to grow, I expanded onto other platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn in which I have a combined following of over 600,000 people. I post daily content on how to break into tech, nuances within this field, and general college/career tips. One interesting fact about me is that I actually graduated with my bachelor's in computer science within 2 years at the age of 19, and I graduated with my master's a year after that.
I've given many public speeches while in college as president of Georgia Tech's MSA (Muslim Student Association), and I was also invited to give guest lectures in a computer science master's course. I've also spoken on panels such as Headstarter in the past, and I'm looking forward to speaking at future event, conferences, and panels!
Area of Expertise
How to Get Ahead of 99% of People in Tech
I graduated with my master's in computer science at the age of 20 from Georgia Tech. I got a software internship at Amazon as a college freshman, and I now work in big tech earning $200k+/year. There are certain key principles that allowed me to effectively gain these opportunities and prosper even though I am NOT a tech savant.
I would like to talk about the importance of building a roadmap in tech, and specifically, what areas to focus on such as certain skills, projects, and languages. I would also cover networking opportunities in the tech sector, and how to become an effective communicator. Through this presentation I intend to inspire and uplift tech students and professionals to raise the bar and succeed in their tech journeys.
