San Casciani and Norma Galvin are the directors of Year of Arts (YofA), an inclusive, community-based programme designed to build confidence, creativity, and wellbeing through hands-on art. Originally from the Netherlands and now based in Ireland, San is a home-educator, entrepreneur, and mother of four, with a background in anthropology from Maynooth University. Besides her invaluable role with YofA, Norma is a mother of two, financial advisor and incredible think-outside-of-the-box'er.

Their work centres on accessible, intergenerational creativity; bringing together children and adults of all abilities to explore, experiment, and express themselves through making. San has completed training in working with people with a wide range of additional needs, both physical and neurodivergent, and has served as Special Education and Additional Needs Officer for HEN Ireland.

Through YofA, and with their wonderful team, Norma & San have developed a unique approach that goes beyond traditional art education, focusing on process over perfection and using creativity as a tool for connection, problem-solving, and personal growth.
