This was a hands-on workshop designed to take the attendees through rapid app prototyping and development using Firebase Studio, by building real-world projects & integrating key Firebase services.
Supercharging Android development using Firebase and AI
This session covered on how android developers can leverage Firebase & Gemini to create fast and personalised AI-powered apps, with no ML expertise needed
Building AI driven android apps with Firebase
This workshop started with a breakdown of how Firebase leverages AI across it's services, to a hands-on deep dive on Firebase AI Logic and integrating it into android apps.
Building smarter apps with Firebase AI Logic and Genkit
I co-hosted this workshop at Build with AI: GDG Nairobi 2025. We took attendees through Firebase AI Logic and explained it's capability in app development. We then delved on Genkit and how we can leverage Firestore's vector similarity search capabilities.
Leveraging Firebase & Generative AI for next gen Android apps
The tech landscape is rapidly evolving and so is the future of Android development. In this session, we'll get to explore the integration between Generative AI, Firebase and Jetpack compose and how they can be harnessed together to build intelligent Android apps. The talk will also highlight Firebase services which will be seamlessly integrated with Jetpack Compose. Additionally, we will explore practical examples and use cases highlighting the potential of these technologies to revolutionize app development.
By the end of this session, attendees will learn about the latest advancements in AI as well as gain insights into building AI-driven apps.
Constraints meet Composables
This talk was selected to be presented at the first edition of Pldroid 2023. The talk was focused on using constraints with composables for building complex layout systems while effectively managing various screen sizes and orientations
Streamlining UI development in Android using Relay
Introducing Relay, a tool developed by Google that narrows the gap between design and development. This tool accelerates UI development by turning Figma designs into jetpack compose code!
In this session, we'll learn more about Relay and its endless capabilities and have the chance to see this in action by showcasing practical demos that turn design mockups into production-ready UI. We'll also share best practices for having good-quality designs as well as how we can use them for collaboration.
Revolutionizing your UI with Material 3
During this session, I introduced the key concepts and advantages of Jetpack Compose and later delved into Material 3 and its principles. We then explored the various components and styles provided by Material 3 and learnt how to incorporate them into our compose-based projects.
Get to know compose & Firebase
